Needles to say, he fixed my vintage beaten wurly, and its been a year and a half, made it thru all kinds of weather conditions and its still kickin’! I highly advice Doc “Steve” Wurly be your first and only call! I discovered that Steve is a great player, has a great ear for pitch and tone, and one cannot know a wurly deeper than this man. He came over, pleasant and focused, got to know each other and he went to work. He responded immediately, wanted to know all the details about the inst (year made, style, where I purchased it, etc) so he could give it a proper asessment and the best possible treatment. 😉 Seriously! I actually found him after doing a Google search for Wurly doctors and blindly called him. Hey Wurly Geeks! Steve is the only house call you need to make!! He has traveled outside of the city to meet us and worked his precision all between load in and show time, so that we were up and running. We (Grizzly Bear) travel with two 200A Wurlitzers on tour and Steve has worked on them both, doing various levels of tune ups, reed replacement, amp replace, action service, and overall making sure they are in the best shape they can be.
